Candle Lighting
Candle of Grief
This candle represents our grief. The pain of losing someone we love is intense. We are reminded of the depth of our grief and the depth of our love.
Candle of Courage
This candle represents our courage. Courage to confront our sorrow, to comfort each other, and to change our lives.
Candle of Memories
This candle is lit for our memories. For the times we laughed, the times we cried, the time we were angry with each other, the silly things we did, the caring and joy given us, for all we learned from the ones we now remember.
Candle of Hope
This is the candle of hope. Hope sees what has not yet been, and what will be. We depend on hope to survive. In the glow of the candle we see the future in the light of pure hope.
Candle of Love
We light this candle of love in honour of ALL that have lost a loved one. Acknowledging our grief, courage, memories, and hope, we light a candle of love. It is the greatest gift of all.

Reading of the names to be remembered.
Let us take this time to listen, remember and celebrate the love and life of loved ones no longer here on earth but always in our hearts. In proxy volunteers will place bulbs on the tree for each loved one being remembered.

Litany of Remembrance
Lead: In the ordinary of everyday living -we remember them.
Response: In special seasons and when celebrations fill our lives, I remember them.
Lead: In the morning light and in the evening time, we remember them.
Response: In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, I remember them.
Lead: In the beginning of the year and when it ends, I remember them.
Response : When I am lost and sick at heart, I remember, when I have joys, I yearn to share, I remember, I remember them.
Lead: So long as I live, those I remember shall live in my heart, for they are part of me.
Response: May the lights on the tree shine forth with love and hope. May our lives reflect that light, tonight and always.
